Hamilton is known as the City of Waterfalls for a good reason! Thanks to the Niagara Escarpment, Hamilton is home to more than 100 Waterfalls. Taking the Parkbus to Christie Lake will let you explore 2 - Webster’s Falls and Tew’s Falls along with Dundas Peak.
What to Do:
Hiking: There are a number of trails that you have access to during this day trip
Christie Lake: There are 10 kms of different trails in Christie Lake Conservation Area itself including one that takes you around the entire lake.
Spencer Gorge: Hike from Christie Lake along the Spencer Gorge Adventure Trail, along a beautiful creek, by historic mills and dams, and see both Webster’s and Tew’s Falls. Or take the waterfall shuttle to visit Webster’s Falls, Tew’s Falls, and Dundas Peak.
Disk Golf: disc golf or frisbee golf is played like a round of golf, except it’s done with a frisbee rather than a set of clubs and golf balls. Christie Lake offers a great course thats set up like a golf course. Great to play with friends or by yourself.
Boating: take some time to paddle Christie Lake. Rentals are available on a first come first serve basis.
Swimming: What’s better than jumping in the lake on a hot day?
