Pristine waters and majestic, glacier covered mountains greet our passengers as they hike to Lower Joffre Lake. This picturesque view commands a sense of awe inspiring wonder as you hike along the trails in Joffre Lakes Provincial Park.
What to do:
Hike: Joffre offers a wide variety of trails ranging from easy to challenging. Elevation gain from the parking lot to Upper Joffre Lake is roughly 400m.
Parking lot to Lower Joffre Lake: this 500m hike is fairly easy and provides a breathtaking view of mountains as you reach the lake
Lower Joffre Lake to Middle Joffre Lake: The trail starts to get more challenging and strenuous here. This section of the trail winds through old growth forests of hemlock and spruce. Make sure to take some photos when you arrive at Middle Joffre Lake.
Middle Joffre Lake to Upper Joffre Lake: This section of the trail can be quite rough and challenging. While the end reward is great, do not attempt if you are unsure of your skill level.
Fish: If you have your BC angler’s license, fishing is allowed at Joffre Lake.
